With all the chaos, change, and uncertainty we are experiencing in our world today, our mindset is the one thing that is within our control. Viktor Frankl* said:
“Everything can be taken from a man {person} but one thing: the last of the human freedoms-to choose one’s attitude {mindset} in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.” Our mindset impacts our health and wellbeing. Using mindfulness we can examine our mindset. We first need to become aware of how and what we are thinking about our circumstances. Then we can choose how we want to think about the circumstances we are experiencing as well as how we want to respond to them. Reframing our mindset can lead to attracting better things into our lives invoking the “law of attraction. The “law of attraction” is the idea that we attract the things we think about. Our mindset is not only a cornerstone to our health and wellness but it is also a key to a better future. What does the law of attraction have to do with The Secret: Dare to Dream?
The movie “The Secret: Dare to Dream” is a lighthearted romantic drama. The story is based on the law of attraction. The original movie describing the law of attraction was called: ‘The Secret.’ If you want to learn more about the law of attraction, check out that movie first. The Secret: Dare to Dream (currently available on Amazon Prime Video) demonstrates the possibilities of the law of attraction in story form. It’s a charming story of a widow and her children who are down on their luck. When a stranger enters their lives, things become different. The story unfolds through unexpected twists and turns demonstrating the law of attraction in action. All throughout the story we can follow the characters engagement with the law of attraction. Perhaps we can even draw some parallels to our own interactions with the law of attraction and start changing our own lives.
*Viktor Frankl was an Austrian neurologist psychiatrist, philosopher, author, and Holocaust survivor. He developed a method of psychotherapy built on the assertion that search for one’s life meaning is the central human motivational force.
