Many of us genuinely want to move more. We know we should especially when our clothes are getting tighter and we are out of breath after walking up a few stairs. Today's average lifestyle doesn't help. We go from our beds to a seat in a vehicle that transports us to our office chair where we sit for at least another eight hours. Then we head home to sit in front of the TV while we scarf down dinner we bought on the way home. Many of us then proceed to either watch more TV or spend more time on our electronic device all the while reclining on our couches, chairs, or beds. Why? The reason is not so simple. There are many reasons that we have trouble moving more and changing our behavior.
Break the cycle! perhaps by cycling :-) Remember when you used to enjoy bike rides, long walks, playing a sport, dancing, or even playing with the kids in the yard? Remember how it felt to get the heart pumping and your muscles moving? We need to find movement we enjoyed and bring it back into our lives. This doesn't mean we need to train for a marathon (although if that brought you pleasure then by all means carry on). Try to combine things you enjoy that are not active with activity. For example:
These are just some ideas of combining something you enjoy with movement. What are your ideas??? We'd love to hear your suggestions. Please submit your suggestions in the comments section. Adding movement in all areas of your life will ultimately increase your physical and emotional well-being.

I really find this site extremely helpful, and really interesting... It really makes you look at the life style you are living and the importance of your every day health! Great questions to ask yourself! Makes you look deep into who you are as a person and what kind of life style you are living..Not many of us really take the time to see and understand what catagories we really fall under..kind of just doing what everyone else is doing . Knowing that i choose to eat unhealthy And not really keeping up to what I am suppose to be doing in my everyday life, really opens my eyes and wanting to change these bad habbits and do better for myself and for my health. Its extremely important for all of us to atleast try some of these tips and change some things..like you said keeping some type of diary, being able to record and review everything that is going on. I really appriciate all the information given and actually want to start doing better for myself and i hope others do as well! How have you grown from your health in the past to now? And what made you take that step forward? Im very interested in your personal experiences with this as well.

Hi Jerabell, Thank you for the comments. I'm glad this post inspired you. Before I started to focus on my health and mindset, I was overweight, unhappy, sick all the time, and physically weak. Since I have started to make changes in my life, I am at a healthy weight, I have better relationships in my life, I'm able to move and enjoy life more. I'm also able to work with my doctors to find root causes to health issues.
